Tea Inc. is hidden away from Devizes market place in a narrow alley called The Ginnels. Describing themselves as both a ‘Tea Boutique and Cafe’ and ‘A family owned Tea House’ the pricing was definitely in the ’boutique’ range. Another sign of it being a ’boutique’ was the use of a lump of wood instead of a plate.
The chocolate cake was nice, but at over £3 it needed to be nicer than it was. The Stilton and walnut “Ploughman’s Scone” was delicious, but at £4.90 so it should be. The green jasmine tea was distinctly brown. A timer was a nice touch, but not really appropriate for jasmine tea. Total price £11.10 for a relatively small, though filling, meal.
